ABOUT us

Nutmeg Signs & Graphic Arts is a multi-disciplinary design and production studio located in Simsbury, Connecticut. Since 1996, we’ve created a wide ranging portfolio of graphic arts projects from simple hand painted storefront signs to complex comprehensive sign plans for multi-use developments. In addition to the businesses community we serve throughout Connecticut, our client work can also be found in major markets such as Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami.

Our mission is to design unique and historically responsive sign projects to improve the optics of Main Street with a minimal carbon foot print. This is a result of visiting historic cities and towns throughout the state and not wanting to stop or engage in the community, primarily due to poorly designed shop facades. After working for decades within the toxic environments of the sign industry, where profitability has superseded its environmental and social impact, we discovered an opportunity to make a difference. We have cut our plastic use and waste by 75% and replaced it with metal, wood, paint and gold leaf that is purchased locally. Our social impact on the business community is defined by ethical economics. We also offer cost effective signs for price sensitive businesses and support the customers that contract us by using their services and promoting them on social media.

Ultimately, we want to have a positive impact in our community, continue to be creative with a meaningful purpose, and leave places a little nicer than we found them.

We serve New England and the Tri-state area. We’re located in Connecticut right off of Route 44 where Simsbury and Avon meet.
